Experience is what we get when we don’t get what we wanted..

There are people who come into our lives and change it completely and sometimes not in the ways we expected them to. Some people lead you up, some people let you down, and some people do both. Unfortunately some people might mean the world to you but you are just a stepping-stone in theirs. I have heard so many people’s comments regarding my actions towards that special someone who transformed my life but all I can really say is that there are people who shape who we are by introducing us to certain aspects of life that at some point are unknown and at the same time magical; like music, love, sex an so many more. That’s the way life goes and we cannot change the cards we are dealt, just how we play the hand. Truthfully I can’t hate him and I do not want to. Experience is what we get when we don’t get what we wanted but sometimes we need a negative experience to learn from the past and set ourselves to look for something different.  People shouldn’t settle and it took me a long time, but I finally learned that life’s too amazing to waste your time thinking about someone who doesn’t treat you right.  -Maria Vega
